The Coney island Parachute Jump is a rode no one can ride. It stands 250 ft in the air, engulfed by dense, suffocating fog one strange summer afternoon. Out of operation since the 1960s, the ride’s vibrant red color turned a muddy brown in the unseasonable weather. The whole of Coney Island from the beach to the boardwalk and even to Luna Park were enshrouded by a persistent thick fog and chilly wicked winds. But the ride stood there, nonetheless, in its steely silence. The Coney Island Parachute Jump was photographed using an Apple iPhone 6 camera phone.
