I recently photographed a series of stunnung headshots for several female psychology professionals at JM DaSilva Psychological Services in their office in midtown NYC. I tried one set-up with a white background and soft lighting lighting from the side. After some testing, I decided I wasn’t happy with how that looked, so I switched to the lighting set-up you see in these headshots with the dark background. It magically made the women pop and glow. It’s a kind of beauty lighting that is used in fashion quite a bit and is a very flattering set-up for headshots as well.
