Several times during my recent headshot session with Dallas, Texas based business communications company Lanvera, I’d hear the people I was photographing say, “Oh, these look like they could be in a magazine!” And it’s true, they do. That’s because I developed a very flattering style of lighting over the years and also use a custom, one of a kind, hand painted canvas backdrop with a neutral, textured surface which give the headshots more depth and an artistic look. Celebrity photographers use such backdrops for portraits of Hollywood stars, which grace the cover of magazines like Hollywood Reporter. Consequently, the headshots have high production value and are more creative and distinctive than traditional business headshots.
