I’m Brian Shumway, an NYC based portrait and headshot photographer. My work is focused on the photographic needs of the business, creative and corporate communities in New York City and beyond. I have over 12 years experience shooting in studio and on location and am known for creating smart, contemporary portraits and headshots. My clients run the full gamut from major international corporations in tech and finance, to small businesses like architectural firms, marketing agencies and individual business entrepreneurs.

I have a casual, personal approach and create a relaxed environment during photo shoots, creating portraits that are dynamic and flattering. I aim to bring the best out of people, even for those who normally shy away from the lens by making the experience as fun and relaxed as possible.
